The Imperial MKII amp is known for its vintage American-voiced clean and overdriven tones, inspired by classic Fender Blackface and Tweed amps. This pedal brings those sought-after tones to any amplifier, pedalboard, or recording setup.
The pedal was designed for players who want the touch sensitivity, dynamic response, and warmth of the Imperial MKII without needing the full amp. It can be used as a front-end preamp into a clean amplifier, as a boost/overdrive, or even as a recording tool when paired with amp modelers or direct recording rigs.
This pedal is built with all-analog circuitry, three real preamp tubes, ensuring a faithful replication of the Imperial MKII’s tonal characteristics. It features high-quality components for maximum transparency, responsiveness, and durability. Tone King’s designers paid special attention to preserving the amp’s feel, ensuring that it retains the harmonic richness, clarity, and compression that made the Imperial MKII legendary. 1.Two Independent Channels
•The Rhythm channel delivers sparkling cleans with a warm midrange, reminiscent of classic Fender Blackface amps. It offers a bright and articulate response, making it ideal for clean playing or as a platform for additional pedals.
•The Lead channel brings in the Tweed-style drive and compression, adding a rich overdrive that is touch-sensitive and dynamic. It captures the Imperial MKII’s singing sustain and smooth breakup, perfect for blues, classic rock, and roots music
2.EQ & Voicing Controls
The pedal includes intuitive tone-shaping controls to tailor the sound. Players can adjust bass, treble, and gain to dial in the perfect clean, edge-of-breakup, or overdriven tones.
3.Dynamic Response & Touch Sensitivity
One of the pedal’s standout features is how well it responds to pick attack and volume knob adjustments. Just like a tube amp, rolling down the guitar’s volume cleans up the sound, while digging in harder produces rich overdrive.
The pedal has 128 presets, MIDI, and comes with editor software. It has dual stereo balanced XLR outputs with Ground Lift Switch, a headphone output, effects send and stereo return jacks, MIDI IN, USB-C and amp in, amp send and amp return jacks.

Wow. I’ve never been able to find a product that allows me to play using headphones that still gives me the feeling I’m playing an actual amp. The only thing I wish is that channel one would be a bit more bright, but easily solvable using a simple EQ pedal.
