Caroline Guitar Company Wave Cannon ZERO is a real distortion pedal that is also capable of doing extremely cool mild-to-medium crunch tones. The distortion pedal is really capable of overwhelming your amp and it has a LOT of gain and volume on tap. It is a classic distortion pedal that sounds good on clean amps.

This pedal is a throwback to one of the first prototypes Caroline ever made. They call it a “drivestortion” and that is a pretty accurate description.

On the drive side, if you just leave the voltage all the way up, ignore the havoc control, and just use the gain, shape, tone, and volume controls, you’ll be just fine. You’ll have a wide range of beautiful, crunchy, and rich overdrive & distortion sounds that stack well with other pedals and can push your amp from mild crunch to saturated big-stack drive with heft, punch, and crunch.

The updated Havoc™ control incorporates the positive feedback & oscillating mayhem you’ve come to expect from these pedals in ways never done before. While you can still run this pedal first in the chain for maximum interaction with your guitar, our new circuitry now makes this feature available later in your setup. Special switching allows the Havoc stomp to be momentary or latching, so you don’t *have* to hold it down while it’s going wild. And the combination of Havoc and our voltage starve control creates all kinds of new trouble, from just “extra dirty” to broken, weird, gated artifacts and envelope triggered collapses.
