Fjord Fuzz Dovre Black is a high dynamic range fuzz and spring reverb emulation with fully separate circuits and a simple interface.
The pedal is a fuzz-reverb worthy of the Mountain King. On the right hand side you have an intense deep dive into a “high dynamic range” fuzz circuit. It’s a modest one-knob fuzz, but it’s absolutely Fjord’s finest work to date.
On the left hand side you have a beautiful, drippy and surprisingly authentic-sounding spring reverb. The reverb is controllable with a single decay knob to control the reverb length and it’s really the only thing you need.
The preamp is super clean and the mix is set to 50% dry analogue pass-through to keep your signal as crisp as possible. The effects are fully separate circuits and can be used on their own or stacked, for huge lead tones. There is also a complete black version of this pedal.
Fun fact: Dovre is a significant mountain range in the middle of Norway. Upon its hills people have lived for over 6,000 years, but it is now most prominently inhabited by Muskoxes, fiddlers and American Car enthusiasts.

One of the best fuzz pedals I have ever played. Dynamic, expressive, powerful with lots of harmonics. Turn on reverb and go straight into space.

To put it simply: this pedal rocks!
Turn up the fuzz and turn down your guitar volume for a lovely sweet clean tone – with or without reverb – and gently turn up your guitar volume to move from sweet cleans to mild overdrive through into light fuzz and then cranked ‘big fuzz’…
And then: turn on the reverb – which also acts as an output boost – and move through space & time.
Only one negative and it might just be because of my set-up: when I crank the fuzz beyond 3 o’clock the background hiss gets quite loud.
