Zvex Instant Lo-Fi Junky Vexter is a lo-fi chorus and vibrato pedal and produces the sound of the Lo-Fi Loop Junky but then in realtime.

The pedal was designed by Joël Korte (now Chase Bliss). The pedal has the texture and feel of the original Lo-Fi while producing some never-before-heard sounds.

Turn the center knob all the way to the right to get the basic real-time Lo-Fi sound and set the waveform switch to triangle. By adjusting the speed and depth it is quite easy to get a texture very similar to the original Lo-Fi Loop Junky. Decrease the tone knob if you want to darken the tone.

Then try turning the center knob all the way down. With this setting you will enjoy a remarkably sparkling and clear compression. Turn the center knob back to the Lo-Fi side and you’ll hear the chorus. The sparkling clear compressed signal mixes with the warbled signal.

This pedal also gives you control over the depth of the sweep oscillator, as well as fine-tuning how much of the two signals are present in the mix. The chorus sounds most traditional with either the sine or triangle setting. They are subtly but noticeably different.
